Silver was a male bottlenose dolphin born on June 17, 1997 in Cattolica, in a small nursery one related to the dolphinariums of Riccione and Cattolica. Silver's parents, Isa and Bravo , both come from the sea: the mother was captured in 1989 in the Adriatic Sea, the father in 1978 in the Gulf of Mexico, United States. The first years of Silver's life are concentrated between Riccione and Cattolica in the company of his parents and his older brother, Golia . When his mother, Isa, died of a lethal infection in May 2001, Silver and his brother Golia were transferred to the Aquarium of Genoa. Upon their arrival, they met other dolphins such as Bonnie , Cleo , Beta and Blue .

Four years later, Silver was moved to the new structure on the hills of Riccione, the Oltremare park, inaugurated the previous year.

We know little, however, of Silver's character and his sociability: in 2006, unfortunately, Silver died of heart failure.
